Epic has been working with PS/IS 111 since 2005. PS/IS 111 is located on West 53rd Street in Hell's Kitchen.

In the 2005-6 school year, Jessica Richardson was the lead Teaching Artist working with the entire 8th grade on Antigone. In the 2006-7 school year, Jessica returned with co-Teaching Artist Brandt Adams to work with the 8th grade again on The Trial of Orestes. This year, Epic will work with both the 7th and 8th grade on an adaptation of Durrenmatt's The Visit.

"I knew this was going to be fun, but I didn't know it was going to change the way I look at life."
- Danielle Bentley, student, P.S. 111 January 2006

"Some of us discovered ourselves and our talents. Our imaginations, that we were seeing, became our dialogue for the scenes of our play."
- Patsy

"During this experience, many people learned not to be judgmental. In our school, judging people's appearances is a big issue and because of that many people are embarrassed to be themselves. We had to do many silly warm ups in front of our entire class. Sometimes we had the spotlight and all eyes were on us, just waiting to see what we would do or say. It was extremely nerve wrecking and scary. Eventually I got through it with all of my classmates and no one judged me when I did something ridiculous. At that point, I knew things were changing and we were growing up."
- Christina D.

Michael Bloomberg, Mayor of New York City December 2002:

"Your Antigone-In-Progress program has been a strong source of support for many students and I thank you for your tremendous efforts. It is always a pleasure to unite with people and organizations that are committed to improving the quality of life for our City's youth and to enhancing the arts community."
